Lockheed Martin VH-71 Presidential Helicopter Program Purchases Instrumentation Data Acquisition System from Teletronics Technology Corporation
Lockheed Martin Systems Integration – Owego of New York has selected TTC as the Flight Test Instrumentation supplier for the VH-71 Presidential Helicopter. TTC’s mission is to acquire data that will validate the performance and integrity of the VH-71 Presidential Helicopter. The prime contract requires delivery of three test vehicles in the spring of 2007. The Flight Test Program will be conducted at the U.S. Navy’s Flight Test Center at Patuxent River, Maryland. The Program plans to procure 23 VH-71 Operational Aircraft for the new Marine One Fleet.
The equipment to be provided is based on the TTC COTS modular data acquisition system using the Tri-Service Approved, Common Airborne Instrumentation System (CAIS) Bus Architecture. The system configuration is an open architecture permitting interfaces with a variety of sensors, avionics and mission control buses, networks, recorders, displays, processors, telemetry transmitters, all under dynamic control to optimize the data acquisition, analysis and storage for the required test parameters under evaluation.
TTC was selected based upon technical capability, low risk and best past performance on similar contracts with Lockheed Martin, including the JSF Program, and other Prime Contractors as well as DOD Agencies for similar items and services.
