The MUX-3005R unit is designed to accept up to three data acquisition cards that support various interfaces and a solid state recorder module. In addition the unit includes an Overhead (XOVH-300) processor card, and a Time Mezzanine card. Acquired input data is multiplexed and recorded on the built-in storage media drive. The MUX-3005R accepts IRIG-B AC or DC time for purposes of supporting IRIG chapter 10 for recorded data time tagging. The removable cartridge supports the Standard IEEE 1394b high-speed communications format. When the cartridge is installed in the MUX-3005R unit, the data is available over a custom DB-9 connector supporting the IEEE 1394b signaling. When the cartridge is removed from the MUX-3005R unit, data is available over the standard IEEE 1394b Bilingual connector for remote download.
