The MUX-3006 unit is designed to accept up to six data acquisition cards that support various interfaces. In addition the unit includes an Overhead (XMUX-300) processor card, a Time Mezzanine card. Acquired input data is multiplexed into a single high-speed data transport stream that is carried over electrical Fibre Channel to the solid state memory. The MUX-3006 accepts IRIG-B AC or DC time for purposes of supporting IRIG chapter 10 for recorded data time tagging.
