RF NETWORKS DIVISION
Acquired by TTC in December of 2006, RF Networks filled the need for high speed data modems on AM or FM fiber and broadband coaxial cable systems. Now an operating division of TTC, RF Network’s model 5960 and model 5450 are point-to-point RF modems that provide dedicated and reliable data paths over RF or HFC media.
The Model 5140 is specifically designed to meet the needs of telephony-based microwave users but is used on other media as well. By using any of the Series 5000 Modems with the Unmanaged Bridge Interface or with standard remote bridges or routers, Ethernet LAN becomes possible over coaxial and fiber optic cable and using multiple microwave hops.
